Heartnote is operated by Martial Technology. This page explains what information the service uses and how sharing works.
What you share with us
When you use Heartnote, you may provide an email address and account details, card messages, recipient names and email addresses, photos, signatures, voice recordings, group contributions and dates you choose to remember. Some unfinished work is saved on the device where you made it.
How it is used
We use this information to let you create, save, share and reopen cards; send card and account emails; and show or email reminders for dates you save. If you ask for help writing a message or generating a voice note, the text you provide is processed to produce that result. We do not use your card content for promotional emails.
Who can see a card
Cards shared by private link can be opened by anyone with that link, including people you forward it to. Group invitation links let anyone with the link add a contribution without signing in. Choose what you upload and share with that in mind. Please get permission before uploading another person’s photo or voice.
Service providers
Heartnote uses hosted services to operate accounts, store shared content, send emails and provide writing or voice assistance. Information needed for those features is processed by those services. Email recipients may receive a card preview and a link to open the full card.
Your choices
You can edit or remove saved dates in Important dates and manage your saved cards in My Heartnotes. You can request account deletion in Account Settings; if a current subscription period remains, deletion is scheduled for its end and can be withdrawn before then. Otherwise deletion is immediate. Account deletion removes your saved cards, important dates and shared links created from your account. Copies already downloaded, forwarded or saved by someone else cannot be recalled.
